         <description>

I'm sure your all
asking, where is 1.0 !!
&amp;nbsp;
Well, truth is that
I just commited the final change (hopefully). The reason it's taken longer is I
decided to bite-the-bullet and rework how the Modules integrated into the base
product. I've decided to rework this to make life abit easier in the future for
users (but unfortunatly, a little bit harder for module developers). Here is a
summary of the changes.
&amp;nbsp;
1. Modules now have
&quot;version&quot; numbers. The admin pages will report which version of a module you are
running. If you upload a newer version of the same module then CoMoblog will
&quot;upgrade&quot; that module for you.
&amp;nbsp;
2. Modules now have
&quot;minimum&quot; supported core product versions - i.e. you can see &quot;this module only
works on version 1.0 of CoMoblog and higher&quot; - this will stop people trying to
install modules that are not compatible with their
installation
&amp;nbsp;
3. Modules now have
a list of &quot;compliant&quot; core product versions - i.e. you can say that your module
has been tested with version 1.0 and 1.1 of CoMoblog. If a user tries to install
it on any other version then they will be &quot;warned&quot; (but still
allowed).
&amp;nbsp;
4. The upgrade
program will now report which modules you need to manually reinstall and which
modules have been automatically &quot;upgraded&quot; for you
&amp;nbsp;
5. A module upgrade
will not lose any of the previous modules configuration.
&amp;nbsp;
Hopefully that will
sort a few things out. I'm going to add as much of this into the developers
documentation that I can.
&amp;nbsp;
So, CML will be
released within the next 24 hours (after I do a little more
testing).
&amp;nbsp;

         <description>Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, CoMoblog is a branch project of the well
known EasyMoblog mobile blogging software. Unfortunately the original
development of EasyMoblog hasn't had time to develop the product of
late and such we have branched the project to continue further work.

The current status is that all known bugs have been fixed and a large
selection of new Features have been implemented.

We are aiming for a 1.0 release in the very near future.

Just to wet your appetite, the following new features have already
been added.

* Blog post searching using the mod_search filter/sidebar module.
* Informational error messages during MYSQL setup to assist with
installation
* Debugging now optionally available for POP3 to sort out those
troublesome batch config issues
* POP3 errors now reported from batch script so you can actually see
why your posts aren't being received
* Cookie's now store the users comment name and email address so they
don't have to reenter them next time
* Maximum configurable limit on the number of images to upload from a
single post
* Ability to filter all HTML on incoming posts.

Some of you may recognise the items above, in fact, some of you may
have written the patches and submitted them to EasyMoblog. I've
trawled the old SourceForge repository and gathered as many good
ideas as I can. If you have any more please feel free to raise them
as RFE's in our SourceForge project -

http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/comoblog.

More news soon when we make the 1.0 release.

Kind Regards,
CoMoblog Development Crew</description>
